TMS Ltd deployed an 8 man HSE dive team with 2 divers in the water at one time. TMS were instructed to lay an outfall pipe from the shore, 350 metres to sea, in depths of water up to 19 metres. All of the diving works were carried out from the deck of the "Will Challenge". The pipeline is part of £5.5m sewer outfall for South West Water. Preston Park Jetty
Preston Park at Stockton-on-Tees
TMS constructed a Jetty for Birse Civils. TMS installed 6 tubular piles with conventional means of piling. A large steel frame fabricated by TMS was installed on top of the piles and fully welded. A Balau 200mm x 100mm hard wood deck with galvanised hand rails all round was laid. There were non-slip boards laid down and 10 ton bollards bolted down for the docking of large passenger vessels. Heavy duty "D" fendering was installed on the outside of the jetty. TMS laid all new paths for disabled access and carried out fencing works and some gabion basket revetment repairs to the river banks.
