Polpero Subsea Outfall (2nd phase)

TMS were instructed to complete the conection between the long sea outfall already installed by TMS and the shore based pumping station currently being built by Dean and Dyball. The pipe was 40m in length and had to be installed sub-sea with a team of divers working from the survey vessel TMS Sea Seeker.  There were lots of precision measurements and fitting involved to install the length of pipe.  TMS are still currently diving at Polpero installing concrete bags and rafts for pipe protection.

Burringham Bank Stabilisation (2nd phase)

Birse Civils instructed TMS to lay approx 2000 tonnes of rock armour on the embankment.  The stone was laid using a 35 tonne long reach excavator sat on deck of the TMS Maverick Crane Barge. The stone was loaded into a hopper barge with a crane and grab on a quayside.  It was then transported from the quay to the Maverick and unloaded by crane onto the embankment.

Burringham Bank Stabilisation

Birse Civils instructed TMS to install 101 meters of AZ section piles.  The piles were 17.5M in length and weighed just over 5 tonnes each.  The piles were installed using conventional piling gates and a combination of vibration and drop hammers.  The piles were driven to the ground level to allow stone to be placed over them.
